While he practices in a variety of UK taxation issues, Matt has a particular interest in private client and entrepreneurial matters, wealth preservation and estate planning for non-domiciled UK and overseas resident individuals.
Matt often collaborates with, and advises, many banks, trust companies and wealth managers on issues affecting their clients on a range of personal tax and family wealth planning matters.

With more than 30 years’ experience as a Chartered Tax Adviser and over 25 years as a partner with a Mayfair Tax consultancy firm, Matt, together with Jo Denman and Steve Costar, formed Candour Advisory LLP in 2020.

Matt is married and has three daughters. He is a keen fan of most sports and despite being in London for 35 years, he remains a season ticket holder at Leicester City Football Club and is known to enjoy the odd day watching the England cricket team.

Jo qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2006 and achieved Fellowship of the Association in 2011, and she has over 20 years experience as an auditor and accountant.

Adopting a collaborative approach, Jo aims to identify and understand the unique goals and aspirations of her clients and share her key insight into areas of potential risk so that mitigation strategies might be introduced to not only prevent issues arising but that actively promote business growth and development.

Outside of work, Jo enjoys travel, cooking, and reading with an eclectic taste in both classical and modern literature.

With over 30 years accountancy experience Stephen qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1998 and became a Fellow in 2003.

His experience allows him to provide proactive advice and solutions to clients. Stephen is also interested in cloud accounting sofware to help minimise the accounting burden faced by small businesses.

Stephen is an animal lover and currently has two cats. He is a keen Arsenal fan and outside of work enjoys music, exercising and green chain walks.
